The meat plate has a lot of potential, but the flavor was disappointing. It seems they’ve changed the recipe or the way they prepare the dish since the earlier reviews. The meal I received looked nothing like the photos from previous customers. Unfortunately, the changes appear to have made it worse, and I’m not sure why they decided to make them. The service was great, and the waitstaff were friendly and attentive. However, if you’re spending $60–70 per person, you expect the food to be just as good. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. The service alone couldn’t make up for the disappointing meal.

My husband and I love this restaurant for our date nights. The duck fat fries, the bread and the beef fillet is delicious. Honestly everything I have tasted here is amazing. The staff is always so welcoming and attentive. Love the atmosphere. The candles on the tables are such a vibe.

This had quickly become our favorite date night spot in town. The decor is very tasteful with a combination of modern but classy. Which provides a comfortable, upscale feeling. You can either go dressed up or business casual for this location. The staff is knowledgeable on the menu & doesn't just regurgitate a script but provide actual advice through experience. The service is quick but with quality. The food is 5 star worthy and phenomenal for a small city especially the steak. The drinks are tasteful and fun. Please don't be afraid to try new things on the food and drink menu. They will surprise you with what they can do with flavors. The prices are fair for town. But when you compare the price for the flavor and service you get, its a steal. I highly recommend.

Visiting Brownsville for work, I came across this place when looking for a place to celebrate my wife’s birthday, who was flying in so we could celebrate together. I can’t praise this entire establishment enough. There was not a single bite that wasn’t absolutely decadent. Everything about this place was memorable; the food, the drinks, and such an amazing staff! When they realized we weren’t locals, they went out of their way to provide recommendations of some of their personal favorite spots that we should check out while in town. Loved this place and will definitely be coming back before it’s time to travel back home for good!

5 stars! I recently visited Le Rêve with my husband and dad, and we had an absolutely fantastic experience! From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional, and the atmosphere was elegant and beautifully decorated — perfect for a night out. We started with cocktails, and I especially loved the Strawberry Spotted Napkin. The rosemary garnish gave it an incredible aroma and flavor that was both refreshing and unique. For dinner, everything was perfect. I had the lamb, which was cooked to perfection. My husband enjoyed the steak with bone marrow, and my dad had the Gnocchi with Escargot — each dish was exquisite and perfectly presented. The hospitality was top-notch, and the entire dining experience felt like a special occasion. I highly recommend Le Rêve to anyone looking for a wonderful dining experience in downtown Brownsville!
